a small ginger tom hurriedly made his way into the icy cave the was Snowclan's camp. His tail was held high in his excitement.
"Mother! Mommy! I'm back!" He shouted, his green eyes scanning the cave for Daggerwhisper. Instead, but not regrettably, Sneezepaw caught a glimpse of a different she-cat. A brown pelted cat with blue eyes.
"Saplingtail!!"
"Mother! Mommy! I'm back!" He shouted, his green eyes scanning the cave for Daggerwhisper. Instead, but not regrettably, Sneezepaw caught a glimpse of a different she-cat. A brown pelted cat with blue eyes.

Saplingtail glanced over, and her icy eyes lit up.
"SNEEZEKIT!" she cried. She raced over to her old friend, and licked his head. He was back, and looked so different!
"I see you're cold is FINALLY been cured! Thank Starclan for that," she purred.
Then she paused, and stared at the entrance. Soon she started bouncing around the cave entrance at one realization. If Sneezy was back that means...
"Is your dad...I mean Crookedflame. Is Crookedflame back? Where is he? He's always been slow with his paw and all. Where is he where is he?" she begged kitishly. She thought she'd never see her mentor again! Everyone did.
Ha take that Riverdancer I was RIGHT he's back she thought. Oh how her true age never would show.
"SNEEZEKIT!" she cried. She raced over to her old friend, and licked his head. He was back, and looked so different!

Sneezekit's heart sank at the mention of his father's name. He looked Saplingtail in her blue eyes, crushed to have to break the news to her when she was so excited.
"He's not coming back.." the tom said somberly, "I'm sorry.."
The young tabby was forced to relive the day he was taken to the cutter. While he was taken in one room, Crookedflame was taken into another. Sneezekit remembered the pain and fear he felt when the twolegs in white stuck needles in his pelt and forced awful tasting liquid down his throat. He remembered waking up in the twoleg nest without his father. Though he didn't know for sure what happened to him, Sneezekit could feel in his soul that Crookedflame was no longer with him on this earth.
The tabby touched his nose to Saplingtail's shoulder. It had been so long since he had felt the warmth of another cat, and he knew the Snowclan medicine cat would need some comfort at this time.
